We were there for brunch. The food and coffees were as good as any other cafe, nothing particularly different either in their appearances or tastes. We received a very warm and welcoming greetings at our arrival but I guess that was the end of their customer care. Was our first visit and potentially the last though the venue itself, specially the outdoor, was very gorgeous. Was slightly windy outside, so the person who was collecting our dishes had difficulty catching serviettes. I chased them for her three times but she failed to say thanks or even to somehow acknowledge the help. Waiting in the queue to pay for the table, one of their staff passed by, hitting my shoulder on his way. He didn’t apologize and simply ignored me.
Fast Service, even tho we did not have q booking they still accommodate us. bolognese pasta taste good but the noodles a bit dry. fried chicken is crunchy but need a bit of a salt. ambiance is amazing. suggest everyone to book ahead of time to get the best view. we will be back for sure :
Great lunch experience. Pricey but worth it. Very good food: crispy beer-batter fish & chips, grilled halloumi as good as Zany Zeus, melting pork belly, and tasty toasted panini options at counter. Regretted not ordering the caesar salad. Only quibble was that the batter overpowered the fish flavour. Friendly and helpful staff. The first time at any cafe where a staff member has made sure that we understood the Covid requirements e.g. must wear mask when away from our table! Rustic wooden decor with sea views fits our style.
Unbeatable on a warm day, outside under the trees, looking across the lawn to the sea. Small but comprehensive menu, local produce where possible. Dogs welcome outside too! One thing to improve....more comfy chairs
This cafe has great potential due to its location but the coffee was weak and cold. I checked with other customers sitting near us and they said the same. There is a lovely seating area under the trees out the front and room to park your bicycle if you’ve just done the coastal trail. There is los of room inside and lots of touristy interesting things for sale. Fix the coffee and this place would be magic.
Great spot even on a rainy day. Awesome ocean views and a very well presented restaurant and outdoor dinning area. Very diverse menu with many tasty options and a cabinet to choose from with more cafe style food. Great drinks menu and the smoothies were very tasty. The servers were all very friendly, checked on our meals and gave us extra time to order as some of our group were late. A couple of mistakes on the order but these were rectified promptly and to our satisfaction. Wouldn't hesitate to come here again, would be beautiful on a nice summers day. Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options that even I as a meat eater would consider. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with good healthy options instead of your standard chips and deep fried stuff. High chairs avaliable, indoor and outdoor kids play area also. Parking: Heaps of parking, not a sealed area but nice small dense shingle that should be fine to navigate in a wheel chair or walker. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible entrance and car park.
I will be going here again. Excellent service. Nothing was difficult, even when we were asking a million questions about the high tea food. Customer service was high and staff so friendly. Locations is just amazing even on a over cast day with little rain. It has a high class, casual rustic feel to it. Great place for all types of people.
Excellent baileys hot chocolate as part of their winter menu. Nice to have roaring fires in the fireplace too
Lovely setting with a view of the ocean if seated outside. Attentive staff made sure we didn't go wanting. Outside area was dog friendly with a wee play area for the kids. Would definitely dine/visit again.Food: 4/5
What a great spot. On the water in a pretty garden. Delicious cakes and great food. Really really tasty. Would return. It got busy very quickly so I'd recommend booking a tableFood: 5/5
