We stayed in a room with private bathroom and shared kitchen which has basics. Not much space to place our luggage or put our stuff it’s more like a backpacker room. Overall experience was ok but the floor wasn’t clean as our feet were all dirty and sticky while stepping on them.
The accommodation was ideal for our family of 7 and very clean. The communal kitchen has everything you may need to cook for the family and there is a large fridge in this kitchen too store your cold foodstuffs.nnThere's a large TV in the communal lounge and plenty of comfortable seats to relax in.nBoard games.nExtra toilets and shower facilities in this communal area too.
I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend, it feels homely and the people are absolutely lovely. I have stayed in other motels around Tauranga that are wayyy dirty and more expensive for what you get and I would say that this backpackers has been one of our best stays!
This is a personal shout out to your amazing employee Shea, who was not only super welcoming and warm, but also really helpful and service minded. She’s amazing!nI was in the 6-dorm room with 3 men, as the only woman, and she really “looked after me”, she just made me feel really safe.nThere was quite loud noice from the common rooms after 10pm, so was a bit difficult to fall asleep, would be nice if there was someone on duty to make sure that house rules were being followed, however, I understand if this can be a bit tricky sometimes - and it was on Anzac Day.nBut yeah, the stars are all for Shea, she was incredible. Will make you feel welcome instantly
From reception to cleaners everyone did their upmost to be homely, helpful and hospitable. I have stayed there twice, hence going back as so nice.nCould not recommend more. Kitchen so clean deep cleaned every night. Loads of pots, pans, microwaves, slow cooker etc.nGreat Showers cleaned every day.nGorgeous courtyard to relax and chat with other people. Big screen tv and lounge when colder.nGood place
