Came here for lunch 1st time loved the taste of the kai but not the size/ portion. Would definitely return though surf & turf- steak was delicious
I have always loved the Huapai and visit regularly, even though I'm from West Auckland and not a local. The service is great especially Sue, who is the bar manager at the times I most visit and I just love the old school kiwi pub atmosphere with the bar menu, pokies, TAB and outside seating. Been there a few times when the bands are on and it's always a good time for listening or singing along. Have eaten there a few times and never had a bad experience with the classic pub menu. Great little place to visit or become a regular.
Atmosphere is so lovely. Food is worth it and staff are lovely people. Definitely a must!
A cosy and warm tavern with a very friendly and attentive bar tender. Glen makes everyone feel welcome and happily shows interest in his patrons.nFire was roaring and the food was delish.nWe ordered Surf and Turf along Smoked Chicken with Bacon and Crispy Noodles.nBoth dishes were scrumptious. Complements to the chefs!
We decided to stop off at Huapai Tavern for lunch on our way home from a night away, as it being Our 3 year wedding anniversary. THE STAFF: A+++ Friendly welcome at entry, Awesome Service, comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Big ups to the Chef & helping hands Seafood Chowder/Garlic bread & Crumbed Scallop meal was absolutely filling and so tasty, loved it! Quick to remedy our unfortunate mishap, as another patron stole our $20 from our machine in the gaming room, even though they didnt have too, much appreciated their hospitality and generous act.nThank you for a memorable time that's for sure! We will be back!
