Neutral atmosphere- went to watch Avatar 2- went to deluxe area- decor and mood of the people is nice however the food is expensive- similar pricing to airport food, the lighting for the stairs is poor and is hazardous. The aircon wasn’t blasting on as the cinema was packed out, no pre warning about avatar collections being sold out and left dissatisfied. Lastly there is no clear signing for exiting, cinema numbers and process is confusing for newcomers. Don’t recommend for people that don’t enjoy getting lost.
Popcorn was way too salty. Cant host a good movie. No puck on the air hockey machine. 3 other games out of order. Then there is a sign its not Hoyts responsibility. Cant host a good gaming venue either. Staff was good. But waste of money. I would not recommend the Popcorn or the over priced ice cream the size of my thumb. Sneak your own food in.
I will never come here to watch movies again. There is such a large waiting room,but there is no seats for guests to sit on when waiting for the movie. When I saw that people could only sit on the ground or have to stand all the time, I felt very angry. I felt that this cinema did not respect guests at all. Moreover, when the film ended, the lights were not on for a long time, and people could only leave in the dark, and the sanitation was very dirty All the designs are like a mystery. I don't know how the CEO of this cinema manages this cinema
Lux class is wonderful. We had 2 starters, 2 mains and the chocolate ice cream comes with the hugest serving ever! Feeling so special and spoilt!
Very nice stocked and clean cinemas. Comfy chairs for just regular seating and very helpful staff. We went during the first session at 10am which wasn't busy and it was perfect! Not crowded and bathrooms were clean also.wheelchair accessible and great food everywhere you look outside the theater.
Great theatres and facilities. Hot food is not so great tried kumara chips,garlic bread and even coffee
Nice customer experience and big screen which makes the movie experience great. The VIP deals are good as well. From hygiene perspective, it feels like the seats are not frequently cleaned. You can notice soft drink spills and trash around.
Disappointing of when walking in on the way to & entering the Lux cinema it was like a maze also the side table B13 was broken plus Lazy boyz not as comfortable as thought it would of been well over used needs up dating , when sat looking at the screen seen Two pole cones that were in the way while watching the first part of the movie i had to move them as they were interrupting bottom part of the screen it should of been a ribbon with glow in the dark saftey letters For the price paid & comparison to Deluxe at another cinema Sorry to say Deluxe at other cinema has won ..... Best the Owners & hoyts team members need to experience other cinema's
One of the nastiest theaters I've ever been in. Everything about this place screams of cash grab with no investment back into the place. The drink tasted odd, the popcorn had stale kernels, the toilets had a suspiciously wet floor and the rubbish bin hadn't been emptied in a while overflowing onto the floor. The seats were just awful, smelt of wee and stained and the ones we chose were broken. Whoever owns this needs to start investing into some maintenance and more staff. Given the extortionate price of tickets & food and the clear $0 spent on upkeep you'd think there was plenty of spare money for that. I was in a Christchurch Hoyts last week and the difference is stark - fantastic recliner seats and extremely clean and tidy theaters.
Worst experience at a cinema to date. The cinema smelt damp and yuck. The seats are dirty and just look like they have never been cleaned. The arm rest on the far left was MISSING and right next to me was not even attached. Kept falling off. Like how is this cinema able to charge full price for a ticket and give this experience. absolutely disappointing.
