Howick Children's and Youth Theatre has been running drama classes and bringing the fun and magic of live theatre to the Howick area for over 25 years.
We present an extensive drama curriculum and employ fully trained drama tutors to carefully nurture your child or young adult's natural creative and theatrical talents.
Through classes and then later productions, your child learns all facets of stage craft. At the 'Offstage Theatre' level for young adults, students have the opportunity to become involved in the broader aspects of the theatre such as stage management, lighting, choreography, costume and set design.
Our aim is, through the fun of taking part in drama classes and live theatre, to develop life long skills such as:
- Confidence and skill in communication.
- Teamwork and commitment to delivering quality performance.
- Tolerance and a sense of community.
