Honestly, If I could give their food a zero stars I would. The food not only looks awful, but it tastes awful too. My Christmas Dinner was a shambles. On most days, my lunch is the leftovers that didn't get used or were scraped into the bin from the dinner the night before. One time I legit found a maggot in my sweetcorn which is Holroyd Howe in a nutshell to be honest. Another time they thought it would be a good idea to add straw to their curry. Keep your distance guys :
I wish I could give it 0 stars, but I can't. This company caters my school and it is just inedible. The food is cold, bland, unappetising and often mouldy or stale. The food nearly always contains hairs or other non-edible items in it. The staff never make fresh food, it is always from the week before. The bread is stale and rock hard. All the desserts appears to be made at least 3 weeks in advance and you can taste staleness. The fruits are bruised and have no flavour. The portion sizes are so small and you can't even ask for more because they always run out of food. They hardly put in any effort for the meat options and even less effort for the veggie options. They deep fry any leftover vegetables that they have, with no sense of what they are cooking, and call it 'tempura'. 9 times out of 10 I am eating deep fried batter with mystery substances inside. And it's not like it's getting any better. This company has been catering for over 3 years and the quality is getting worse day by day. Worst catering service ever.
Serving sizes are completely unacceptable at Goodenough College. Numerous requests have fallen on deaf ears. Members often visit the grocery store or nearby restaurants directly after a catered meal because the amount of food served is inadequate. Many have started relying entirely on restaurants or their own cooking. EDIT: adding a second photo that was taken after Holroyd Howe’s reply. Clearly, no action has been taken.
This company started at my school not too long ago, and yes the food is decent could be improved especially for the price of an arm and leg, but the staff members are even worse they sometimes get your order wrong then when you go to politely correct them they go in a huff. Now I’m not the type of person to argue with someone more senior in years to me but I feel that if you are working with teenagers there is always the risk of unnecessary, unprovoked altercation for the smallest of things so for this reason if they were to have an argument with a student that wouldn’t be the greatest. In my opinion if you come in to work like that especially when dealing with people that is not the best way to act and that is the reason why I’m rating it at 1 star, improve your prices and your staff or good riddance
This place caters for our school. The food is like plastic, we occasionally find hairs in our food, and the variety of choices is horrendous. The rice, pasta and noodles cooked here are either oily or dry. I wonder why most people rate it 1 star?
Passionate, caring, attentive organisation producing phenomenal food to the independent school sector. A wonderful employer with a clear focus on food and people. The pictures attached are just a snapshot of what Holroyd Howe inspire and encourage us to produce on a daily basis at our schools.
Terrible food. The cheese tastes like it has been through someone's stomach and vomited back out again I wouldn't be surprised to be honest, and to make matters worse, very large amounts of it seem to be in every vegetarian meal. Portion sizes are tiny, and their vegetarian food seems to lack anything in the way of protein.
I worked in this company and after refusing to keep doing overtime, the problems started, and that's when I checked that they were not interested in any of their employees, where they try the worst way, even cancelling and eliminating your rights, and access to your private online documents while working......
Staff are lovely but the food tastes like its gone threw someone. Please stop serving food from the previous month. Thank you.
