Great place to visit. Lovely hosts, great meals. Had Dinner, breakfast, and lunch. Nice walking tracks nearby to keep you busy. Really nice view of Mt Taranaki, and great weather both days.

Great location. Mountain house was closed  but the walks are great. Curtis walk is a great walk for the experienced trapper.

Best food I have had in a long time! Amazing service,  beautiful view, everyone was very friendly and accommodating we were in a group with 3 kids 4, 3 and 1. Definitely will be heading back soon

Very very disappointed!!! Not open on a Wednesday.  A beautiful day up the mountain.  Website says open.  Big article on Stuff suggesting everyone should visit the Stratford  Mountain House.  No point if the place isn't even open, on a day it advertises it is.   Will only go back to visit the mountain  NOT the mountain house.

Beautiful Breakfast! Service was amazing, friendly and very efficent! Highly recommend this..we will definetly be back. The 4 of us were most impressed. Can't fault it. Thank you guys
