I've been going there for years. It was better going back at least 5 years ago. More bargains in the shop. You could find just about anything you needed. These day's it's full of clothing items that sit for months on the rack's. After all it's just people's cast offs right!?!?nUnfortunately the down side of the Westown Hospice shop is the staff are mostly good but there are some staff and volunteers who are very clicky that stand around gossiping about the customer's. Maybe their sad lives are so tiny they get pleasure out of whispering about the people who's money keep the shop ticking over.
It has everything you need, even what you would least imagine, from art to toys for the little ones, of absolutely all prices and is affordable for everyone's pocket. If you are going to go you need plenty of time because you will spend a lot of time inside the shop.
Use to be an awesome place to shop, still is to a point but now it's more like a retail store . Most of the good stuff that use to turn up is now put on trade me or held for people who will pay good money for it. When new manager took over prices rose by over 1000% over night, don't get me wrong the hospice is a very worthy cause and costs millions a year to run but now struggling families and those who don't have a lot of money can't really afford to shop there anymore or get less for what they can get. The only reason I give 2 stars is you do now and then still get a bargain.
Loved this shop so addictive - clothes are super cheap and its just a good walk around - you end up buying things you diddnt really need to but so worth it
