My favourite Op shop in Warkworth. Always find a treasure and very reasonably priced. Has a good selection of furniture. Staff are so lovely.
This place has a variety of things from clothing fill a bag and kitchen ware to furniture and old ipod docks. Most of the staff are absolutely lovely and I was considering volunteering, especially because they end up throwing a lot of stuff away which is heart breaking. I hoped to find ways to make use of things that might be destined for landfill. Sadly I was treated very unkindly by a man working there today and I was sobbing by the time I left. It was absolutely bizarre and I am scared to go back there now. He changed his mind on the price of something and then said I mis-heard him. I had repeated back the price when he said it too! He was yelling at me when I started to cry.nI paid the difference bawling my eyes out and the counter lady was so nice. I felt so humiliated. I am on a tight budget and this man who throws so much stuff out was willing to lie for another $10. If I go back I might go in disguise, haha!
Was in the shop today around 1pm. I bought a blender. I ASKED FOR A RECIEPT was told no, I didn't need one because it's buyer beware and no refunds. Also another lady behind the counter backed her up and pointed to a sign.nShame these charity shops don't know the buyers rights. Just because you're a charity shop. All customers are protected by consumers guarantee act. Under the Consumer Guarantees Act CGA, you have more legal rights if you buy from a second-hand dealer or a charity shop than if you buy from a private seller.nYOU MUST PROVIDE A CUSTOMER WITH A RECIEPT. I suggest hospice management take these signs down and train your staff.nI paid cash and now have no reciept to prove I purchased it if anything goes wrong.
It doesn't take much to update that you shut at 3, not 4! Disappointing waste of time.
Support them every chance I can. Staff are great, phone assistance not a problem. Varying stock from time to time. Parking right at the door.
