What a cool place to chill, have a drink, enjoy some good food, and hang out with music in the background. It's not waterfront but the decor and atmosphere made up for it. It's like escaping to a backyard garden. Ordered the Italian pizza, 3 oysters, side salad, fish tacos, olives, beer and juice. I recommend the pizzas.Food: 5/5
A must in Russel. A great spot with great pizza and the best beer selection in either Paihia or Russel. It can be confusing at first. There is no table service or anyone at the door so once you get in, you need to find a table for yourself and seat yourself. There are menus at the front at the bar and the main queue is to order food. If you're just ordering drinks, you can cut to the left of the big line.
Nice little garden in the heart of Russel!! My husband got himself a burrata parma ham pizza and fish tacos for myself. Fish tacos were good, pineapple salsa was a nice touch paring with deep fry fish. Local cider was alright to me. Friendly service is a plus!!Recommended dishesParma Ham
Beautiful place the decor and vibe makes up for the fact that there is no sea view, excellent service, staff was new/inexperienced but the manager was doing such a great job, we were attended by different staff members, each one of them made us feel like we were the only ones there even though it was quite busy. The pizzas were delicious, copious amounts of toppings and the base, so so good!! Even the gluten free base was delicious. We also tried their Tiramisu and Profiteroles, I highly recommend you leave some space for dessert as it was VERY nice.
Top notch service and quality food. The calamari was on point and could be eaten even without the Tartare sauce. Good selection of drinks also! The pizzas came out hot and fresh and a good blend of taste in the parma ham, buffalo mozzarella, caramelized onion definitely unique place to eat. Will definitely come back here for more!
Just go there! Gluten free base was the best ever, friendly young staff were so helpful, cool vibe at night. Kūmara fries were exceptional, wife rated the fish tacos 10/10.
What a great place to eat. Fantastically friendly staff, every single one. The atmosphere was great, and even had live music. If you want pizza and an array of other choices this is a place to go in Russell. I spoke with the owner to pass on my feedback, he was so pleased and intended to pass it on to his staff.Food: 5/5
Love the food, the service, amenities and ambiance. Om, maybe not so much the ambiance - too islandy. A bit too far off the atmosphere of the quaint town. However, don’t let this take you away from the great non-commercial tasting food.
Great food. Nice atmosphere. Lots of plants. Perfect for plant lovers. Eat the pizza. It's good.
Wood fired pizza was delicious and plenty for two to share. We also had the rocket and pear salad and the kumara fries which were a highlight. Lovely outdoor atmosphere and the team were super friendly and helpful. Also dog friendly which was nice.
