Must to do. Early morning is the best time to visit. The tour guide was awesome and made the tour much more interesting.
Beautiful place! Loved it. Around 30 people on the tour so it's a little bit hard to take photos. But it totally worth! The guide gives you lots of information about the set/movie. You get a free drink and they have a couple of snacks to choose from not free.
I am not a fan of the movies but when in New Zealand you must embrace it. The tour was very nice and informative. The level of detail with each little hole was amazing and the scenery beautiful. The green dragon tavern was amazing and the beer great. I must say a fun experience!
So glad we went. They had to close down during COVID. Our tour guide was made redundant, but then got his job back. They were operating at 50% when we got there. A brilliant special experience and definitely needs to be kept going.
