I totally have to change my review after attending my first class, previously I had reviewed based on the wait list being so long and was told it would be only 2 weeks when it was closer too 6-7 weeks! This sucks because I was keen to get him swimming sooner and would have done so via other means. But the class today was actually beyond my expectations. The swim teacher was positive engaged and very clear with what she wanted us to do the babies were all super cute and happy the entire time. It’s more about getting them comfortable in water and I think it was more then I expected even I was having fun
Absolutely shocking handling of a health and safety incident. During my sons swimming lesson another child had a faecal accident by the side of the pool. Instead of washing it down a nearby drain, we witnessed the staff rinse the fecal matter back into the pool. No one around the area or in the pool were informed, the area wasn’t closed off, and lessons continued as if nothing had happened.nnWhen I raised concerns, the operations manager refused a refund, wouldn’t acknowledge that the incident happened, and wouldn’t provide their health and safety procedures for dealing with this specific type of situation, essentially skirting around the issue.nnOur experience shows a complete lack of training and disregard for basic hygiene, especially for the “gold standard” you claim to be. I strongly advise parents to take their children elsewhere.
Our baby used to do swimming lessons here and we loved it! The staff and teachers are always super friendly and helpful. Alisa was our favourite teacher, she’s so patient and really great at teaching little ones.nnThe place is clean and pools are designed just for kids. Free parking is a big bonus too!nnUnfortunately, we had to switch to another branch because of our relocation, but I absolutely recommend this place to everyone!
I wouldn’t say it was the worst experience, but it definitely wasn’t a good one either. Although each session is 25 minutes, I noticed that at times the tutor wasn’t fully focused during the lesson. Some children received more attention and time, while others—despite being in the same level group—were overlooked. Additionally, one parent mentioned that if their child was sick and later had their period within the same month, only one makeup class was allowed. Given these limitations, opting out may be the most practical choice.
I have been taking my daughter here since she was 6 months. We have been in and out of the swimming school here as my daughter goes to a school with a pool and swimming in summer is compulsory.nRegardless of this, I have found the team at Hilton Brown to be patient and accommodating with our schedule. There is always a suitable time and day available and the care and lessons provided are second to none. Thank you for all the care and confidence you provide for teaching water safety and swimming for all ages. I have my second child enrolled as well and she just loves her swim days too.nThe pool temp and indoor area is warm all year round, making it ideal for babies as they won’t be uncomfortable or cold. They have a small variety of snacks and ice cream/drinks available for a quick pick me up.nSwim nappies, goggles and swim caps available for purchase if you need it too
