High Street Stitches is such a wonderful shop! Amanda has been great in giving advice to my daughter as she learnt to crochet. She's helped her pick patterns and yarn that were right for her budget, and has a great customer base who have been as friendly and supportive as she has to someone just starting out.
This is the best yarn shop you'll ever find. It might be small but it's full of treasure and the owner Amanda is the biggest treasure of all. She's always happy to help and full of great advice. I happily travel for an hour to visit High Street stitches
Great selection of wool , However not exactly the friendly welcome that we got from all other shops we visited in Cricklade. When serving customers I find good manners go along way.
Amanda is one of the loveliest ladies, her knowledge on all things knitting and sewing is second to none. She will go out of her way to offer advice and help.
What an amazing shop! The owner Amanda is so helpful, kind and encouraging. I have dabbled with sewing and knitting but never really successfully made anything wearable. Amanda helped me find the perfect pattern, and fabric to make a Tilly and the Buttons dungaree/ jumpsuit last summer. To say I love it is an understatement! Amanda was so kind and said I could ask for help anytime while making them, and I did!! That was the beginning of my re-found love for sewing. With Amanda's continued help with pattern and fabric selection I went on to make a whole new summer wardrobe and even made my Mum a dress with some amazing fabric from High Street stitches, and yes once again Amanda was there in my panic when I couldn't get opposite curved seams to meet up. This shop has more than just beautiful fabrics and yarns at very good prices, it has Amanda who is honest and goes above and beyond to help her customers. It is the first place I go for anything I need and the first place I go if I need inspiration for my next project. AMAZING STOCK AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I know I’m a bloke! but I go in this shop with my wife. I must say that you could not ask for a better service. The shop sells everything that you need and the owner, Amanda, really goes out of her way to share her expertise of which she has plenty and help in any way that she can. Amanda loves to see the things that people have made and she is very encouraging, approachable and friendly. I highly recommend Stitches, friendliest shop in Cricklade.
This shop was a surprise find and it is amazing! It sells lovely fabrics, patterns and accessories for sewing, wool etc. for knitting and accessories for all sorts of crafts. The lady who runs the shop is friendly and unbelievably helpful. Brilliant shop and I definitely would recommend popping in.
