My kids LOVED surfing with you! First wave was caught by both kids and they are super excited to try surfing again. Thank you for your expertise and making the lesson so much fun and most importantly keeping my kids safe! They are very sad to be missing the surf party!
First time surfing & was well looked after by the staff, Jess was an enthusiastic coach with alot of knowledge and patience for the small group of novices. 2 hours of splashing around in the water & caught one wave perfectly, balanced on the deck like a champ made my day. Highly recommend & would do it all again. Thank you all so much
Our whanau love the team at Hibiscus and we couldn't speak more highly of them! Not only are they skilled and professional, but they always provide a consistently amazing experience for our 3 children, 7-11yrs, of varying abilities, and regardless of surf conditions. They go above and beyond; some days after 4hrs of the wave programme, they've taken them for an extra swim/jump of the rocks. It's why we come back year after year.
What a great experience for our boys! Booking the private lesson was easy, they were very friendly and accommodating. The instructor was great! Straight away he got the boys talking about their interests to get to know them. He was very patient and encouraging! Highly recommend Hibiscus Surf School! Thank you!
My kids really love the instructors at Hibiscus Surf School. They have attended both the after school and holiday programs. The instructors are great fun - even on days with rough/no surf, they are creative in their choice of activities. And let's not forget the admin staff who have always been very friendly, helpful and flexible. Definitely recommend.
Took lessons and rented boards with these guys multiple times. Absolutely loved it every time! Beach manager Georgina does an amazing job managing the beach and getting you to your lessons. For lessons I can honestly recommend every instructor. I’ve learned a lot over the past month and have progressed so much which I can only thank Hibiscus for. Such an awesome add-on to my time in NZ!
My son had his first ever surfing lesson yesterday. He absolutely loved it. The instructors were all so friendly and knowledgeable and really connected with the kids. Looking forward to next week and many more happy days of surfing!
Maddy and Matty are awesome! The instructors took extra time to provide detailed instructions. They kept the group safe and provided everything needed for a great session. By the end I was able to stand up and surf...for a few seconds.
Did the 2 day package and everyone at the school was friendly and very helpful. The instructors get you out and on the water quickly with a great intro of the basics. I went from having never surfed to catching quite a few waves on day two. Shout-out to Mattie, Willow, and Levi for a dope experience.
Great bunch, I had Will for my lesson. very clear instructions and lots of feedback ment I was able to stand up and catch waves within 20min of being in the water. Hands down the best experience of my trip to New Zealand. I will definitely be back and renting a board and suit from these guys and I might even do another lesson.
