Local Matters Ltd publishes two free community newspapers fortnightly – Mahurangi Matters and Hibiscus Matters.
The papers report on the gamut of local affairs including local news, coverage of past and upcoming events, and business, history, health, gardening, rural and sports news.
More than 30,000 households and businesses in the area receive one of our papers free in their mailboxes twice every month.
The papers are locally owned by Jannette Thompson, of Whangateau, whose family has lived in the district for many generations.
