I was told they have the best seafood chowder in town, and me loving seafood chowder and knowing it’s very hard to find good one, I came and checked the place.Nice and clean pub,great service,good Irish beer and beeaauuttifulll seafood chowder.
Tonight Saturday25th March, we went into Hennessy's for a meal. From the moment we went in Lelly, the waiter welcomed us and showed us to a table. He was very polite and attentive. The meal, Irish cottage pie was amazing as was the dessert, Lelly recommended we have Granny Malone bread and butter pudding and Lemon meringue pie, what an excellent recommendation. Thank you Lelly, you were a great waiter. Thank you Hennessy's amazing food and ambience.
Came in for lunch with 16 tourist, mostly no English, 12pm on Saturday with no reservation. Our waiter Lelly had an amazing attitude and was very patient with our group, loved his sense of humor. Food was prepared quickly, was delicious and great portions. Thanks to all the staff thereFood: 5/5
A wonderful place to stop for a meal. Our waiter, Lelly, was a delightful and attentive staff member who looked after us very well and provided wonderful warm and welcoming service. The food and drinks were excellent. We're eager to return.
The service was great. They had to do 31 meals all our meals came out together. Great music in the back ground. The owner was hands on as well.
Lovely food as always I always come here every time I come on holidays and always never lets me down every time is always so beautiful . Nice customer service to the lovley person who served me today 21/5/23 very lovley and such a beautiful manners as welcoming your customers .
For months I've been craving proper British pub food bangers and mash/steak n Guinness pie and Hennessy's delivered, if you're British and want a taste of home cooked comfort food this place is amazing. So glad we popped in on a last minute trip to Rotorua :
Delicious fish and chips! A tasty pint of Guinness too, can't fault Hennessey's. Thanks to the staff for making us feel welcome
2 Adults & 3 kids...We had a lovely family meal here on Boxing Day 2018. Very friendly staff met us at the door and escorted us to a great spot. The menu was easy to choose from...2 kids had the mini burger & fries which was actually normal sized and delicious. Our eldest ordered the chicken fettuccine which she gave a 5/5. I ordered the lamb shank which was falling off the bone. My husband ordered the steak meal which was cooked to perfection. Overall very satisfying and affordable. Highly recommended family meal. Thank you Hennessy's Irish Bar.
Always great service by family owned bar & restaurant. Fabulous, value for money tasty meals. Typical Irish setting including Irish music! We visit regularly & play our board game.
