Helen grew up in Whitehall on a Dairy farm in the Cambridge district of New Zealand. She has had an interest in art since a young girl. Over the last 25 years she has brought up her family of five children and kept painting when she could, she also completed a 4 year course with the Learning Connextion , Wellington, majoring a Diploma in Art and Creativity with Honors. Now she Paints from her studio at Alexandra. She paints strong contrasting works imbued with light, colour and energy. The work itself is a textural paint style complimented by fluid translucent brushstrokes, which reveal layers of subtle colour underneath. Some of Helens work is directly inspired by her enviroment, while other pieces depict her travels.
All Helens works are Original, created and inspired by nature wtih a mixture of realism and impressionism.
