Story

A little bit of history.
HeartXart was developed during the investigation into the art of screen printing by Auckland based stencil artist Katie Robinson. She has worked as a stencil artist for 10 years, selling her artwork both all over New Zealand and worldwide. Katie invested in a screen printing set up for her home studio in Whangaparaoa. Her inkling that her stencil based images would translate perfectly to the realms of screen printing was proven correct with the extremely positive reception about HeartXart shirts after the first round of prints in November 2016.

How it works
All shirts are hand printed with love, there is no mass production going on here and all shirts are made via pure inspiration. There are always very short runs, but if you are after a shirt that isn’t in stock, it will get printed the very next day especially for you!

Occasionally you will find a very limited run with no possibility of reproduction, this happens when a hand cut stencil is used. It gets destroyed in the printing process leaving a very unique printed art shirt.

Other shirts have been taken from original artwork but have been digitally reproduced and are able to be printed as needed.

Collections
The first line to emerge was based on existing prints from Katie’s collections, followed closely by Wolfshooks rad as all hell contribution.

Heartxart has several new lines in various stages of development, working closely with both established and up and coming artists hailing from the top to the bottom of Aotearoa and everywhere in between.

All lines are dreamed up and printed in Whangaparaoa and Katie and everyone involved in the set up are always on the lookout for new inspiration and potential new collaborators.
