beautiful beautiful resort. I haven't visited in a decade and they are still wonderful. With the 14 pools, swan boats on the lake, theater, game room, and ride to Disney we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Did I forget the water park? It was second to none. We had a blast.Rooms: 5/5
We arrived here for there Military Appreciation weekend. We had never been to thank of these resorts. It was awesome and so family friendly. The staff was so friendly and the room was spacious and clean. We had a single unit with king bed and pull out couch. It was plenty of room for my family of 4. Also in the room was a jacuzzi tub and a decent view of the property. There was so much to do on site with an arcade, multiple restraunts, a water park, movie theater and multiple pools. We had a great time just hanging out on the property. I would definitely return and have already started looking at other locations. The military event was special they offered a military vehicle demonstration, a couple concerts, and a great field day. All in all this place is awesome and reasonably priced. Nearby activities: Centrally located for all the Orlando attractions.
By luck, found this place on VRBO. We just started a few nights. They are renovating the entire property and our 2 bedroom villa was great! Beautiful place. It's a time share place but it appears you can just stay like we did. Staff is really friendly, 14 pools throughout the property. A water park which we did not have time to explore. Complete kitchen, washer dryer, great place for family!
I came to visit family here. It was a bit confusing to find the right room, however, a field worker with a map helped showed us where to go. She was so helpful and guided it right to the room. I didn't get a chance to visit the whole resort but I did get to the kiddie/kids pool. Though we were only there for 10 minutes before a thunderstorm came and we had to leave the pool temporarily. The pool was very nice. I have two toddlers and they were having fun. I only visited the pool area and the room, but we did past by a small movie theater which looked pretty cool inside. Overall it's a very clean and beautiful resort. Though very busy with a lot of cars in and out.
This was a middle of the road hotel but I will start with the good things. First according to my little brother the water park was excellent. Also the food in the resort was good but there are some problems. The biggest problem was that the heat in my room was not working the room stayed at 60 degrees Fahrenheit and there is no daily cleaning unlike most hotels. Overall it’s a middle of the road hotel 3/5
The resort itself is very dated and doesn’t offer enough for the number of people staying. They have multiple pools and tennis courts but only one activity center. When I visited the center there were no bikes available to ride, no more golf clubs to play mini golf, and only had one tennis racket with no tennis balls. The center itself needs a major renovation and is not pleasant to look at when inside. What really led me to rate so low was the fact that I stayed in a renovated room but things weren’t meeting my expectation. If you plan on having family or friends staying with you and you’re relying on the pullout couch, I recommend asking for extra comforters and sheets. The mattress is paper thin to where you can feel every spring. Also, whoever designed the showers should be ashamed of themselves, but whoever approved the design should be embarrassed. The shower was very small and tight this was an ADA room and the floor to the shower was 99.9% flat. With the floor being flat, there was no way water would flow into the drain, leading us to place several towels by the shower. The towels would be drenched after one person showers. I dreaded having to shower every night in there. Overall, this is an okay place to stay at. If you plan on visiting the parks nearby and that’s it, then this is a good place to stay in. If you’re looking to unwind and look forward to activities, I wouldn’t come here because you could be disappointed.
My family owns a time share at Westgate, each year we return for a week for vacation with our 3-4 rooms all joined, we open all the inside doors so we are free to roam from room to room for a family atmosphere. These suites are clean and comfortable with full size kitchens, new appliances, spacious balconies and beautiful bathrooms. We don't spend much time in the rooms but after long days at the parks or the pool it's nice to retire to a nice and cool suite with a big comfortable bed. The grounds are meticulously kept, early mornings, my Aunt and I usually take a long walk around before it gets too hot, we get our steps in and take in the gorgeous landscaping. I look forward to returning to Westgate each year, it's truly a delightful experience, beautiful place with great restaurants and plenty to do!
We were in the older villas not the towers, they were great! It was a great set up for my family. We had 7 people; our 4 kids, my mother, my husband and I. The screened in patio was amazing we spent a lot of our time out there. The pools were always warm and quite private for how many people this resort holds.we also liked that you could use any pool on the resort, you weren't stuck with the one by your villa. The kids loved the water park, and the movie theater. The train is a nice touch but the driver was in a bit of a hurry, she pulled off while my daughter was getting off.. we didn't have any sheets for the pull out sofa bed. That was the only bad things we had happen.. there are a lot of really nice small parks to take the kids too.. the game room was also a lot of fun on the rainy day. Dino putt putt golf was a blast. But they only had about 30 clubs for thousands of people staying so it was always a horrible line waiting for enough clubs to play. The Grinch did make an appearance. They also served hot cocoa with all the best toppings for the kids at the attraction center. the Christmas decorations were amazing and they had a lot of photo ares set up. The bar and pizza place we're a great touch.. we loved the little grocery store up front, it saved us a few times also had some great souvenirs. The grill area by the dog park was so nice and very well kept. They do a lot of maintenance at this place. We will definitely be back!!
Had a great time! Awesome amenities, service, pools, and eateries. We loved our time there with a group of 5 in a suite. The military appreciation day was very cute as well. Proximity to the parks and other essentials was a huge bonus. Only major downside was how pushy the sales people can be, but they’re avoidable.
It's really great here there restaurants and shops and really close to everything u can even watch the fireworks and not have to deal with the crowds. Rooms are nice and clean. You can have ur choice of pools also there's free laundry love that.Rooms: 5/5
