A neat cafe to begin an interesting tour of the engineering works. A rest stop while on the Otago Central Rail Trail. Staff are amazing!
If you want high quality food and coffee, don't drive past this place without stopping. I consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur of NZ pies and the homemade chicken, leek, and fennel pie was as good as they get. Topped it off with a homemade custard square, which was top notch.
Great lunch stop for the rail trail and a fascinating museum
Well worth stopping and view the engineering works and the homestead. Was a real experience to see what living conditions were like many years ago. Great food and coffee available. Great staff happy to share their knowledge of the area.
A lovely quaint spot to stop and relax. We enjoyed a lovely drink and some food in the cafe. Yummy homemade pies, pasties, toasted sandwiches with chutney and cakes served with cream. Good old fashioned service and friendly staff.
Well kept historic family home and an enginering business with interesting information. The café has delicious food and drinks. A definite must do when uou cycle the Otago rail trail
A little oasis with fantastic food and coffee. Friendly staff. Lovely seating outside. Highly recommend.
We we're lucky enough to have a bespoke tour with Ken Gillespie. Such an interesting museum with some inspiring collections
Fascinating look at old time engineering without looking like a museum. Looks like work could start again tomorrow.
