Fantastic park, lots of hard fill to park on with a dump station and potable water. Short 12 to 15 minute walk into town. Cafés, supermarkets, The Warehouse etc all available and great views of Mt Taranaki.
Great location for exploring Hawera, access would be difficult for big rigs if busy but we managed to get in next to the gazebo.nWe may have issues with the gate, and although there's a dump station in the middle of the biggest area of the site, we decided not to try getting the caravan on that side. Easy access for motorhomes and smaller caravans, and has great gazebo that gets lots of sunshine. Didn't see anyone doing happy hour but chatted with the members who were about.nGood washing line... It was very windy during our stay.nHandy for the Hawera hospital.nWill come again .nCustodian was onsite. Good library too .
Quiet and safe. Walking distance to a lovely park. Pet friendly . Custodian on site
Nice quiet place to overnight but not a lot of interest nearby.
Great camp. Good selection in book swap. Never full while we were here. Wish Mt Egmont had been cloudless. Great list of things to do in area including Elvis Museum ring first Tawhiti Museum not impressed with it Cafe food but coffee good Parks aplenty and swimming complex nearby. Avoid hospital cafe fried food.
