Hauraki Rowing Club offers top training facilities, top coaching and a supportive 'family' atmosphere for all - school through to masters level.

Story

In Ngatea, on the Hauraki Plains, Hauraki Rowing Club has some of the best training facilities in the country. The Piako River is a long, relatively straight and sheltered stretch of water, and with a newly built launching pontoon we can train at any tide, and in most weather.
Lead by highly regarded Head Coach, Martin Simoncelli, we have a dedicated team of coaches, with a wealth of knowledge between them, and a real commitment to excellence. Our results across all the levels reflect this, from school through to masters (27 years up) achieving success at NZ champs.
Behind all this we have a motivated and active committee, and supportive 'rowing family' atmosphere.
All important ingredients in our goal to create an environment and culture that challenges our rowers to become better athletes, and better people, and be the 'Best Rural Rowing Club in New Zealand'.
