Monday morning at 11.00 I take my toddler Grandchild to Story Time, in the children's department. Her favourite is Andy,also likes the other, she helps him open the window/flaps in the books. She loves a story book read and knows the books we bring home well. There is a very good choice of children's books we can always find a different one/four weekly. All the librarians are lovely and helpful. Hastings Library is a good credit to the town .
Very good library set across 3 floors with helpful staff who can direct you and guide you through the process or registering or printing or whatever you require. There are great facilities for children young adults and all ages. I have used this library to print A4 pages in colour and black and white before and the staff are very helpful Lots of books DVDs and more available to rent /loan and when you become a member here you can use any library within the local area Battle, Rye all over the East Sussex and specifically the Rother area.
Great library went too story time today 24th of July the story teller did not seem too get kids involved other than the ones around her my son has server speech delay and wouldn't understand what she was reading about really but would of been nice if she got my boy involved in the story too unde before it finished got fed up even I tried too get involved when story when she said parents what doesn't move of u push it I shouted statue but she didn't notice mee either kids may shout louder but some kids can't and they like too participate too
Lovely place! My kids love reading on the boats, they have a good selection of books and the staff is friendly. They also have a lift which is super handy for buggies or disable people. There are toilets and baby changing facilities and always clean. Finally, we love their summer reading challenges, my son was made up last year receiving his certificate at school, and we have done it again this year. 100% recommended.
Really impressed to see a library in Hastings when so many other councils are shutting them down due to cut backs. This is a lovely building and libraries build a great sense of community as some people do not actually have nor understand the Internet. So really good to see and congratulations to Hastings Council for doing this and creating such a nice space.
It is a very good place with Books and DVDs and public toilets on multiple floors and a lift for those who have trouble walking!;
The only thing wrong with the library was lack of old books.modern library with digital books,English classes for adults Fentobut no ancient script.very good librarians.
Wonderful place the building is amazing and the children area is very didactic. I loved it
Hastings library I modern and has a fantastic selection of fiction and non fiction literature for all ages. There are various PCs to use and they offer various events and workshops throughout the year. The staff are also very helpful.
It's a local library, what could be bad about it? Located in a lovely part of Hastings and in a gorgeous historic building, it was recently renovated so enjoys all mod cons and an oldy-worldy atmosphere.
