Top 10s are always a safe bet in terms of facilities for the kids. This one has a bouncy pillow which they loved. It's close to everything and the staff are friendly. The showers and toilets could be cleaner and the hearted pool is still pretty cold for young kids. But overall we had a great holiday.
Having stayed at many Top 10s, you come a custom to what to expect before entering the park, and this place smashed it. Wow, I was very impressed. We got a great spot overlooking the waterway and as I like to take photos was perfect.From reception to the facilities, I couldn't fault so well done. This is a huge park and has something for everyone.
This place was very busy, but were able to fit us in. Packed with families but the facilities were top class and clean and tidy. There are plenty of activities close for the kids to enjoy as well as the onsite pool, sauna, tennis court. Staff were courteous and helpful.
We booked a cottage with Top Ten Hastings website a few months ago only to find out the day before check in on our own, without being told by them that it was offsite. This alternative site was partly under construction, with uneven ground all around, a pack of large nails was even left on the hand rails outside, currently very unsuitable for small children, our toddler fell on uneven ground and scraped the side of his face. Cigarette butts were left in an outdoor sitting area and the place stunk of fish as did the only sponge available to clean dishes, overall it didn't seem like a proper clean had been done between guests , there was no recycling facilities and the toaster also didn't work. There was a heat pump to keep the place cool and it had good bedding and was generally well set up otherwise.
Really disappointed by Hastings Top 10. I booked a room for a summer holiday, I was rung weeks later to be told carpet was being laid in the room I booked on my dates and I couldn't stay there then. Other dates were going to cost even more. Didn't try to help much or accomdate me. Poor management to be having carpet laid in peak season instead of a lockdown or winter. Holiday has be ruined
Nice for kids to play. I’ll back next time need to with my friends. But just 1 costume complain is don’t be cooked the special food in the kitchen, so smelly. Should be gotten a rule. All fun.
It was a good stay just a little disappointed about the pillows, we end up buying our own pillows that worked out great. We had one issue with bathrooms but they where very happy to fix.
Expensive, however it's proximity to Splash Planet was superb. Funnily enough, most of our neighbours at the camp were also there for Splashies. The kids Loved the giant inflatable pillow Safety: Relatively safe feel about the place. Which is important when out with our tamariki
Service was okay, cabin obviously wasn’t cleaned before us because there was food stains on the curtains and things under the bed. Sheets were NOT clean and bed bug infested. I have multiple bed bug bites on my stomach and back. Shower was broken and not giving any hot water. facilities were dated and no space to put any of you clean dishes because there was only one strainer. Probably not going to be coming back and left a night early.
Back again for another stay. Great base from which to explore wine country. A very pleasant riverside location. Oh, and it has a heated pool to rest those travel-weary bones.
