This was one of our favourite Top 10 caravan parks that we have stayed at. The grounds and facilities were all very good and well kept. The staff were extremely helpful. We had a little emergency in the middle of the night and the after hours on-call Michelle could not have been more helpful. Really got us out of a bind. The pizzas and pizza oven were also a very unique touch.
Refund requested as the road was closed by police due to a large bush fire. The campsite fully refunded the deposit. I write this in appreciation.nWe had driven a long way from the West Coast to get to the site, and were under 30 Kms away when a bush fire halted all traffic on the road from Springs Junction, State Highway 7. Returning via Lewis Pass to Springs Junction, we finally got a mobile signal and told the site that the police officer there told us the road was shut and most likely to be shut all night. We then had to give up. It was too late in the day to get there. The next day the road was opened. The site amended the booking and we set off but at 1145am the web update was the road was closed again, indefinitely.nIt remained closed that morning so I reluctantly requested 'due to exceptional circumstances' a refund. I was told that it would be emailed to the accounts department. We were unable to get to the site due to this fire. The deposit was refunded and this is much appreciated.
One night stay. Everything you need with super comfortable large beds. Not the cheapest around however we would stay again. Overall very good. Very family friendly.
The apartments are incredible and should be 5 star. Beautifully clean, high end bedding and appliances, just perfect. Only mistake we made was going here first, it made the rest of the accommodation on our trip very disappointing in comparison. Couldn’t recommend highly enough if you’re looking for something flash, ditch a hotel and book an apartment.
Despite its excellent location near the springs, I disliked this campsite the most during our recent holiday. The toilet block was fairly new & well appointed, but the water kept running cold.nIt felt very cramped. Powered sites very close together behind cabins, little privacy.nWe were kept awake by the people in the cabin behind us, kids very loud & parents shouting. Also, lots of kids tearing about between the vans. The kitchen was way too small for the number of people trying to use it & only a couple of dining tables.
