We booked the buffet breakfast for Mother’s Day for 9 of us. When we arrived we found that the selection for both continental and cooked breakfasts were very poor. There were no plates available for us and there was virtually nothing left in the warming trays. We had to wait for ages for them to be refilled and when they were, everyone there made a dash for them and there was nothing left again. We had to stand waiting and watching for some more food to come the whole time. They ran out of hash browns and it wasn’t even busy when we went at 9.15am. I also had to wait about 30 minutes just for a barista coffee which of course was at an extra cost. The food was basic at best. Not what you would expect from a hotel restaurant. And most definitely not worth the price! Very disappointing and would most definitely not recommend.nIt’s certainly not as nice as it was when it was The Heritage Hotel. It’s very white and bare and not warm and welcoming with character like it used to be. Such a shame that the new owners changed it
I love old comfortable hotels wonderful location. We’ve just returned from Asia stayed in many 5star hotels. The cleanliness and comfort was as good as any of them breakfast was very adequate not great variety the only disappointment was the check in procedure far more efficient systems now available
Perfect place to stay in Hanmer Springs.nEverything was walking distance;n1- The Thermal Poolsn2- Restaurants, Pubs, and Cafesn3- Crazy Putt for Pedal Bikes and Mini Golfn4- Virtual Arcade in the Villagen5- Shops and Souvenirsn6- name it all, you do not need a ride anywhere… just walk when you stay here, you can park your car saves you fuelnnHotel in a good and well- maintained condition.nHistorical building, nice architecture, clean roomsnnHelpful and friendly Staff. Receptionist and Manager were awesome; lovely housekeepers- easy to deal with when you have requestsnnRestaurant cooked very exquisite and delicious food! Never leave this place without dining in this Hotel’s restaurant-must taste experience!nnPlus the pool was a good closing salvo to end the trip! can’t get enough of the Hanmer Spings Thermal Pools and Spa nnHighly recommended for everyone!nnThank you Edit Hanmer Springs! Our family enjoyed the stay!
The service was amazing, the rooms cosy and clean. Recommend getting the breakfast it was so good! We unfortunately had to cut our stay short as my son had an accident. Would have been nice if they had offered us another night at a later date.
Staff awesome especially Lena who made us feel so welcome. So kind and accommodating. Lovely clean room with fantastic views. Pool was lovely and warm. Beautiful gardens. Very impressed
