Our cabin was sufficient, but you shouldn't expect any luxury. It was very simple, no decoration, no amenities towels etc but perfectly fine for a short stay and for the low price. You can reach the lake very quickly on foot. The bathrooms and the kitchen area are super clean, we felt really comfortable there. Unfortunately, the showers are not made for tall people as they are not height adjustable. All in all we were happy with our stay.
Great place to stay in Wanaka with lots of options for camping and rooms. We stayed in a self contained unit so can't speak to the amenities, but our cabin had what you needed. It's one of the older places on the property with its quirks but fit our needs. The staff were friendly and check in and check out a breeze. It's a short walk to town and really close to the lake. Overall, a good stay!
Is it weird to write a review because of the showers?! Well I am, the showers are amazing. Very clean, separated stalls with unlimited HOT water. The best camp shower I've ever had. The location is walkable to downtown Wanaka and many sites available. The kids enjoyed the playground, which had an inflatable kangaroo pillow jumper, they loved it!
Fabulous place to stay, we had a cabin, bathrooms were great, regularly cleaned, showers had fantastic pressure, communal kitchen facilities were great - remember to bring a tea towel lol-, cabin was cozy, beds comfortable, and the heating more than ample. And the views, stunning.
The campsite was beautiful and had nice kitchen and bathroom facilities. The showers were a bit small which was a shame because the room had plenty of space to make them a better size. The site was close to the lake and town center.
