Had a great stay here in Wanaka. The location is absolutely perfect and unbeatable for the budget-friendly price we paid. We booked an apartment and it was spacious and clean. It was also highly convenient to have our parking spot located right in front of the cabin door, making unloading our luggage completely hassle-free.nnThe room comes well-equipped with all the necessary kitchen tools and utensils, which made preparing our own meals super easy. No bathroom amenities but not an issue for us. The only major downside to the stay was the Wi-Fi. It was extremely poor and did not work at all during our time here. Regardless, still a great base for exploring the area.
For a camp ground I was pleasantly surprised at how clean surfaces , linen bathrooms were. The staff were lovely and beds were comfy. I’d definitely come back. Easy walk home from the township safe for solo travelers. Beautiful back drop of the surrounding mountains nature and lake. Close to the Wanaka tree. Views to wake up to. I stayed in the two bed cabin with kitchen and bathroom. It was very well equipped,it’s a campground cabin so nothing flash but linen beautiful and clean with comfy pillows and bed!
Our first time to do a road trip in a campervan in Queenstown. Booked this place for an overnight stay and it did not disappoint. Walking distance to the main shops and the Lake. Amenities we needed for a campervan is available. Common amenities like toilet, shower and kitchen are all heated, did I say the shower area has a heater.nnWill be staying in this place again
We stayed for 3 days and would certainly return. The location is great being near the lake and the town Center so only a 12 minute walk to lots of restaurants.nWe didn’t use the facilities but there is a large kitchen , tv room, play area and launderette. The showers were clean and sufficiently spacious. The only negative was there were no hairdryers in the shower blocks
Really disappointed and absolutely not worth it.nnWhen we saw the coded barrier on arrival, we had high hopes…turns out the barrier is where the budget ended. Once inside, it quickly became clear that maintenance is not a top priority. The place is run down and pretty dirty.nnWe tried both kitchens because optimism dies hard and in each one about half the appliances & sockets were broken. We didn’t bother reporting it as there were so many broken things they must already know. If not, that’s even more worrying. Showers weren’t that clean first night but better the next.nnEverything costs extra, including games, cutlery etc which feels a bit rich given the state of the facilities. The internet was slow and worked about as often as the kitchen appliances.nnThe staff were nice and friendly and Wanaka itself is gorgeous. Just do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere.
