What is a good sign of good food here is there are plenty of people come and go!nAnd with the words on their sign, the fish n chips must be good!nWe tried the battered blue cod which is really nice! The proportion is big too! The fish is really fresh and juicy inside! So fresh!nThe half scoop chips is enough for 2 person!nOnly the ketchup is 1 NZ which is a bit expensive.nThere are sea mews fighting for foods, be careful with that, nMUST TRY!!!
It's well worth stopping and having a feed of fish and chips here as you will not be disappointed. Yes it is not cheap but what you get is value for money. The fish is super fresh, large fillets and cooked well. I also had a paua patty that was made of chunks of paua which is hard to find and it was delicious. So if you are passing please stop and give them a try as I'm sure you will not be disappointed as I will not only recommend to you all but to family and friends as well.
Went to have ”world’s most famous blue cod”, but got disappointed. Fish was fresh, but very salty. Have ate many times better fish&chips. They dont have forks and knives at all, so you need to eat fish and chips by hand. Even they have many tables outside, you cant have any forks!
Asked for sauce, but was told it won't be needed, and that its all in the flavour of the fresh fish. One of the best fish and chips I've had! Tasty batter and tender fish. Can tell they take great pride in their fish and chips. Portion size for the blue cod is smaller for the price though, but indubitably tasty. Sole and Groper portions will be larger.
Take away and head to the beach at the end of the street. I’ve had better fish and chips. You also have to pay $1 for each condiment including vinegar.
