First time at Gusto. Took my daughter 10 and folks. My father thought his fish was overcooked, but he's never happy. The rest of us were very pleased with our meals chicken livers, steak and a kids burger which was a decent size and the service was excellent, to match the great water views. Reasonable prices. Will def go back.
Walked in for a table of 6. Warmly received by the staff. Our little alterations were gladly accommodated by the lovely girls. Food arrived on time and was SCRUMPTIOUS! Would have been great if the the sun was out but indoors was nice too! A very cosy place to be!
Went for a drink after dinner elsewhere. The restaurant offers a great view. Can't really recommend the cocktails. Will go back for dinner next time!
Great location and service for our family dinner. Our waiter was very attentive and polite. Good selection of drinks. The prices were that of a fine dining experience but, some of the combinations of flavors and elements that came with the dishes were confusing and didn't quite hit the mark. I had the duck and the meat was really nice but the almond granola and glace cherries seem out of place and looked more like it should be on a dessert rather than a main. The other dishes we had were similar in mismatched flavor combos.nDessert was interesting too. Good flavors but agian it was still a little confusing. The cheese cake was not a cheese cake and was more like a jelly. The fondant cake was great though and you can't go wrong with a little chocolate!nThere where a few big groups dining with us but when they left, tables were packed up around us and made us feel a little rushed. It was at the end of the night so this is understandable but we were yet to finish dessert.
You won't find a better waterside view for dining in New Plymouth. The food and service were top notch. Menu has a great range and has new additions all the time. Great drinks menu also. Very spacious ... the decor is a little dated and could do with a refresh. But in the meantime, a great buisness to support and you will get a nice dining experience.
