Story

At Gumtree Gully we breed a small herd of top quality alpacas, with an aim towards improving fleece fineness with each mating.
We also have an onsite shop full of gorgeous alpaca products!

We have our fleeces processed at Riverdale Fibre Mill in Otorohanga and spun into mostly 8ply and Aran weight yarns. We can produce yarns ranging in colour from white, to fawns, browns, greys and black.
Our yarns include natural colours, and gorgeous hand dyed yarns all colours of the rainbow!
Let us know if youre after something in particular :-)
If you're into spinning or felting, we can also produce carded fibre available for sale.
We offer a growing range of knitting patterns for your special little ones and have a few adult ones too, with more in the works!
We will usually have a number of alpacas for sale and have free information for anyone looking at joining the industry.
