A lovely centre in the country. Real grass! Wide open spaces. I can see the teachers work really hard to authentically know their children and families. Everytime I drop my daughter off or pick her up the atmosphere is busy with children playing. Love how the animals are part of the curriculum and the teachers help my child learn more everyday by working with us on a goal for her. Management is always present too and so lovely to the kids and parents.
Most amazing daycare! Every single staff member is caring and helpful. So hard to chose a place that you feel happy dropping your child off and knowing they are safe and happy : We absolutely love gumboots and grasshoppers!
Absolutely love this place. The staff are amazing, the facilities - indoor and outdoor area is any kids dream come true. The fantastic food made daily by their own onsite chef; not to mention all the different dietary components/allergies kids have these days. Five stars for Gumboots and Grasshoppers!
We are so privileged to attend a centre with so much aroha. Both my girls are truely blessed with a home away from home and kaiako who truely love them. They are absolutely thriving in the rural setting and I would recommend Gumboots & Grasshoppers 100x over.
Our little one has settled in wonderfully at Gumboots and Grasshoppers, he would cry for his Mom during drop-offs, and scream "I love you Mama" The staff knows that he loves cars, so they did everything to comfort him with cars. He now looks forward to going to preschool and the staff are there to meet our child's needs academically and emotionally. When we drive past Heemy is so proud to say, Aunty, Aunty, Look, my school, my school. Highly recommend this pre-school for all your children's needs.
A beautiful centre with a wonderful philosophy. Very fortunate to be a kaiako in a place with amazing values, ratios and big outdoor space for the children to explore!
Every morning when we drop our 2 kids off we feel like we are just dropping them off to our extended family. Love the way the teachers keep us informed of any great adventures our wee ones get up to
Highly recommend Gumboots and Grasshoppers Daycare center. The facility is amazing, the outdoor area is huge! They pride themselves in providing as many enrichment activities and experiences for the kids especially outdoors' everything from gardens to animals. The team there do an amazing job' I've always felt that the kids are in very safe and caring hands.
Gumboots and Grasshoppers has such an amazing, warm and friendly environment, caring and thoughtful staff and has made the transition into the Centre for my daughter stress-free. Centre is very spacious and with an amazing outdoor area. Highly recommended if you're looking for a great Centre to send your little ones :
