A great place to visit if you are in north shore of Auckland in a good sunny day with family and friends. Good spot for shopping and chilling in the cafe nearby. Easy parking on the back and it’s free. See the photos

A lovely free camping spot just metres away from the sea, seems to be very popular so being there with a few other campers put any of my worries at ease. Public toilets are open all night and there is waste water disposal facilities. There is also a very nice cafe in walking distance so I had a stroll down to it in the morning to pick up some breakfast,

I had some business today in Silverdale and thought I would see what Whangaparaoa has to offer   The first stop was the Gulf Harbour Marina. There wasn't much to see, except for rich people's toys   One interesting thing is that the water is so clear, you can see the fish swimming around. I even saw a stingray! Fishing is prohibited, so these fish are huge

Great family walk, seen lots of fish and even spotted a stingray. Just beautiful.

We enjoyed our visit on Race day, watching all the boats on their way out to watch America's Cup racing. Great viewing of the Marina and afterwards the boats leaving through the canal. If you are along the Whangaparoa peninsula this is a good stop, in your journey.

Clean, friendly and easy access from land and sea. Great shops, chandelier, Engineering supplies,  cafe Ripples Gulf harbour yacht club, Brin Wilson's a great and highly regarded boat builders,  a rigging shop and a engineering shop and close walk to more. GREAT PLACE.

So nice great to take the kids to view the fish swimming, a couple of eateries, great boat ramp, nice area to go camping via camper or motorhome, as 10 freedom camping zones, and restaurants and Shakespeare near by for tourists.

Interestingly, the place feels like you were transcended into one of the Mediterranean cities. The scenery was lovely, the water was crystal clear with emerald green and blue hues. It’s worth a visit when travelling from Auckland central either by bus or by ferry. It would take roughly the same travel time of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Very helpful when I needed to moor there for 2 nights. Well priced. Also had someone dockside to assist me dock. Awesome service.

Beautiful harbour view, clean and easy access. Stunning in Summer time
