Story

Who are we?

The Great South TRVLRS Club is a collective of like minds that share a passion for many things. Among those things but not limited to: Health & Fitness, Sports, Travelling, Street Wear, Sneakers, Style and Design.
A Talented, creative and diverse group of individuals, South Auckland is our home.

The meaning behind the name GSTC pays homage to our local roots here in South Auckland and also to the roots we would like to plant globally.

Great South Road is a part of our heritage as a group, as it is a road travelled daily, to get to school, to sports fixtures or just to meet up and hangout. The name TRVLRS represents our appetite for new experiences, our curiosities and desires to see the world and all its wonders. It represents the tenacity we all possess to dream. The hard work we are willing to put in and the risks we are willing to take along the way to ensure that those dreams become our reality.

As a group, we believe we are influenced by the actions and/or inaction of those around us, tired of seeing talent wasted and potential unfulfilled this is our call to action.

We are heavily influenced by not only our current circumstances but by our drive and ambition to drastically improve upon them.

There are many professional athletes; music artists’ etc. role models from South Auckland that have influenced our attitudes and choices made but ultimately our own life experiences are the biggest influences. Some who have studied and earned a degree, others who have worked and travelled and those who knew what they wanted and have worked tirelessly towards attaining it. It’s the journey, and what we’ve learnt/will learn along the way that influence us the most.

What are our intentions?

Our intentions are to do great things, in all the areas that we choose. To showcase South Auckland/New Zealand talent and document our expeditions as we grow together. Showing you the world through our eyes. Representing where we are from as we travel the world in the pursuit of happiness.

A common goal within the Club is that our hard work and due success inspires others from similar backgrounds to aspire to be more than what is expected of them. To break the negative stigma that has clung to South Aucklanders for as long as we can remember, and to instill a belief, a new way of thinking within our community. We want to encourage, empower and inspire people to live their best lives, not to settle or conform to what they might think they deserve. To expand their thinking beyond what they see in front of them, because its not that we CAN’T do it, it’s that we don’t believe that we CAN. That’s the thinking that we want to change. We hope to contribute to the change in consciousness of our people, lifting the burdens of limitation that others place upon us and also we place upon ourselves.

We want to use clothing as one of the mediums to do this because we take pride in how we present ourselves to the world; when we are seen it is the first impression we make and a big part of our individuality.
Quality, Function, and attention to detail fused with our own creative nuances will ensure our product/content will stand strong in what is now a competitive market. We hope that our garments can enhance an experience or be encouragement to enjoy new ones. That feeling you get when something you’ve waited for in the mail arrives, or the feeling you get when you put on your favorite piece of clothing. We want our products to be those things that make you feel, or reminisce.
