Tauranga-based Groundworks Landscaping was formed in 2006. Landscape professional Steve Macken is the owner-operator of the business. His work is informed by 15 years experience in the industry and a horticulture diploma, specialising in landscape construction and design.
Steve says effective landscaping never follows a template. Every project is unique. Steve works closely with clients to help them identify how they can make the most of their outdoor environment and he ensures that vision and those lifestyle objectives drive the project.
Steve offers a full design to completion service but is available for any aspect of consultation and landscaping on projects big and small. He can quote from an existing garden plan or create a plan and supply
Steve has project managed substantial landscaping on large properties, but is also happy to dip into a garden establishment or makeover at any part of the process. Clients have hired him for a variety of tasks such as offering advice on one problem corner of a small garden, offering a quote for an existing plan, executing the hardest tasks in a garden makeover, the complete establishment of a new garden, and rescuing a project that has gone off-track.
