What a lovely quiet place to watch the tides ebbing and flowing. There's a lot of seabird action and at low tide you can hear the clicking of the crabs. There are views past Mapua Wharf to the open sea, across the Waimea Estuary with the hills and Richmond Ranges beyond. Wide vistas.
Awesome quiet place to come sit if you want to relax, swim or go boating
Nice spot to go fishing there is a boat ramp and plenty of space
Nice sunsets, good place to picnic
Disgusting amount of doog poo in local areas and public walkways! Seems the more privileged the place the more dog poo their is around. Too privileged to pick up poop and too easy blaming visitors/tourists on creating a mess.
