Love this place. Food is always consistently good, but this time part of my order had been forgotten. So my wait time was a little longer than usual. I would definitely recommend eating here. Most times a booking is required, especially in holiday times.
Food was AMAZING! We had the corn ribs and 3 different lots of tacos to share and all were really nice. They also accomdated really well for our dietaries. Servers were lovely too. Would highly recommend switching to corn tortillas if having tacos. So good.nnOnly flat was the cocktails, we had 3 different ones each and all of them were bad. Like really bad.nnWould definitely come back but would stick to beers/wines instead.

4.30 booking on Easter Saturday and the place was pumping. Great value happy hour. High energy atmosphere, and good team on deck. The corn chips are a must! Value for money meals with good sized portions. Highly recommended, very family friendly.
Hey, great Mangawhai restaurant but hey those prices, for Mexican food, however, what the heck do I know about NZ food super prices and staff costs. Don't live in NZ any longer thus understand it is the experience. Great host - maitre d', Andrea, on a busy night with many cheerful bordering on rowdy folks. Was a grand experience.
