We dined at Grill and Green on a rainy Saturday afternoon, and the experience was fantastic. Here’s how we rated our dishes:nnLamb Souvlaki minus bread & rice – 5/5: Tender, juicy lamb seasoned perfectly. Even my daughter, who usually isn’t a fan of lamb, enjoyed it. The fresh salad and spot-on hummus made this dish a winner.nnSteamed Mussels – 5/5: My daughter was in heaven from the first bite. The creamy garlic and onion white wine sauce was the perfect complement to the hot, juicy mussels. The soft, fresh bread was ideal for soaking up every bit of the sauce.nnBaklava – 5/5: Buttery, crunchy, sweet, nutty and delicious—everything you’d want in a dessert. The complimentary Turkish delight was a sweet surprise with a hint of rose. Apologies for the terrible photo.nnThe service was A+ from the moment we stepped in, and the warm, cosy atmosphere was a welcome contrast to the weather outside. The blue seating was comfortable, and the bold colours added charm without overwhelming. The mix of fairy lights, hanging lamps, and a virtual fireplace on the TV screen created a relaxed vibe.nnDrinks arrived quickly—my mocaccino was perfectly made and hot, and my daughter’s hot chocolate with a pink marshmallow was a hit.nnWe were lucky to dine here with a First Table booking, but we’d happily return at full price. A fantastic spot we’ll definitely visit next time we're in Tauranga / Papamoa.
Fabulous authentic Mediterranean food. The staff were friendly and attentive. The decor is a bit sparse but everything else made up for it, we loved it. We’ll definitely go back here.
My wife and I greatly enjoyed our visit to this place! The environment is very chill and calming. They have indoor and outdoor seating.nnThe food is exquisite! I had the scotch steak and my wife had the mixed kebab chicken & lamb. My steak was cooked perfectly to my request, medium rare. Both the kebabs and my steak were very tasty! We also had onion rings, mochaccino, and spicy chai latte. The onion rings were very well made. The breading was fine and perfectly balanced to the onion. Our drinks were the perfect temperature and also very delicious!nnThe staff is very courteous and was attentive to our needs. They are also well staffed, so it isn’t one person doing all the work.nnOverall, this is a wonderful place for an easy date-night or just a nice place to have a tea and relax. Such a great spot for dinner. We had the brie, loaded hummus, and a main sharing plate for 2 with tons of meat and Turkish bread and all of it had great flavors and variety. Staff was lovely and atmosphere was cozy
I went recently to Grill & Green for dinner and Oh My was I surprised by some new dishes options they are testing with their customers. I ordered Garlic Mussels accompanied with Turkish bread, so tasty I ended up dipping the bread in the sauce. As main the Eggplant puree with Salmon didn't disappoint. Generous portion, very tasty and fresh. It felt like a home meal, hearthy, rich in flavors, healthy. I loved it. I recommend also their fabulous moussaka. Atmosphere is relaxing, to suit a couple as well as family. You have the choice or inside or outside dining, service is quick and efficient, friendly. Absolutely recommend.
