Claire established Grief Relief in 2010 for three reasons.
Firstly, to continue her passion for supporting families after the death of a child. Secondly, to increase people’s understanding of grief and thirdly, to honour her first son Jeremy, whose death in infancy was formative in this work.
Today Grief Relief provides support, education, training, memory-making and healing, responding to the unique needs of each griever and personal, workplace and professional supports.
Clients encompass parents and whanau, friends, colleagues, teachers, students, health professionals, emergency responders, community organisations and businesses.
Twenty years of working with the tough stuff; losing a child, life-threatening illness, ongoing chronic illness and death, has equipped Claire well for helping you navigate life's losses.
With warmth and intuitiveness, Claire provides support and sound information together with practical tools and strategies. She finds most people are self-managing within 1-3 sessions.
Working with young adults and upwards, Claire also supports parents and whanau to support younger children.
