Stopped in for a beer and decided to stay for dinner.nFood was reasonably priced, looked good at tasted great.nLocal patrons were great. Same with the staff at the bar.
A must stay in Taihape staff were wonderful,restaurant food compliments to the Chef and his Staff beautiful meal steak cooked medium rare perfection,salad chips and creamed mushrooms ..nI had a great night's sleep own room Queen with ensuite..Gretna Hotel was highly recommended to me by Taihape Information lovely lady there,after my query about The Rusty Nail back packers which has closed down stayed there a few times for Targa Rally Motorsports..nI was very impressed by the service of Gretna Hotel..nThank you Staff Gretna Hotel Taihape very much enjoyed our stay my first time there definitely not my lastReminded of working at the Debretts Hotel Wellington on Lambton Quay used to work as kitchen hand back in the early 70's they had staff quarters but the actual Hotel reminded me of old school days
Stopped in for dinner only on friday night. We had a Simple meal of fish and chips. It was really good. Salad crisp and fresh. Fish flakey fresh. We were served by Jess when we arrived. Sorry if i got your name wrong. Jess served us a year ago. Shes lovely and friendly. Makes you feel welcome and Always smiling when interacting with everyone. Lovely to see. And its genuine. Also lots of families present and music playing. An enjoyable evening had by all present i think.
Stopped in for dinner here as limited options in the town. Good wholesome feed with large portion sizes. Hot and tasty, recommend for a cold night!
Had to sleep in car. Staff way to carefree. Nothing explained. Just name/phone number ,pay ,here's a key to a room. Didn't get to see room. No refund , no email contact
