Both my husband and I go to Empower Fitness and definitely enjoy the environment. All the staff are very accommodating and cheerful, keeping the facility clean and tidy spic and span. There are a variety of exercise classes available at many different levels of fitness and the range of gym equipment is extensive. This is a place we feel safe exercising.
Spacious, plenty parking space. A walk in customer during the festive season. Helpful staff. A good range of equipments.
Great team of knowledgeable and friendly staff and a great gym environment. The best PT’s that help you work towards your personal goals with the right support and guidance.

Very helpful polite staff, who know their members all personally as apose to just a number in their system so Awsome job guys, keep up the great empowerment you provide Taupo's gym bunny's and community.
Nearly all the staff I have come across are the best at customer service. They know your name. Happy to help. Smile when they greet you or walking past. Plus know their stuff. Happy place with many positive reasons to go there.
This place is really nice and good for other people who are worried where to start. Hows everything in taupo i know it can get a quake but how is at or in the town.
Staff very helpful and informative. Spacious gym, great facilities. Planning to use again when I’m next staying locally.
Went there today Saturday with my girlfriend. We did a casual visit and payed 15 dollars each. We trained for about 30 minutes. A staff member came up to us and said she's sorry but we have to leave it's 12. Her colleague who was at the front desk at the time we came in stood silently behind her. He never told us that we can't stay past 12. We asked for a refund but didn't get one. The female staff member told us we could come back tomorrow but we had to leave taupo. So basically we paid 15 dollars per person for 30 minutes in a gym. Wouldn't recommend going there for a casual visit.
Great gym. Fantastic staff. Excellent PTs on staff. Great choice for a gym!!
Gym itself is ok. Larger commercial style. Visited while on holiday. Casual rates 20 bucks which seems about average these days. Be sure to ask for rules before you go. My partner and I didnt get any form of induction but there is a women's only section and no wearing of crop tops etc. No issues with these rules but would have been good to be told at the start about these things rather than find out by being told part way through work outs
