Greens Motel

We were pleased that Greens could accommodate us for 3 nights over the weekend in Nelson at short notice for a family funeral. The room was spotless and had everything we needed. Very comfortable and quiet. Only drawback was the dazzling lighting in the walkway outside - it shone through the uncovered bathroom window and gaps in the blinds to make the room like daylight. This meant we didn't sleep at all well! Sensor lighting and more thoughtful directional lighting would be better. We did mention to the gentleman at reception when we left, but he didn't appear interested to address it.

I booked a studio and they gave me a two bedroom apartment! So lots of space, lovely and clean and just such a nice cosy, quiet vibe. I had a great night's sleep here!! Great price too! Lovely balcony that gets the afternoon sun. Also had a good hairdryer!

Friendly staff. Great value for money. Only problem was toilet was sqished in and uncomfortable.

Extractor fan didn’t work in the toilet. Tried to get them fix it but got told off by a guy named Phil as I called at night7 pm. Although a note on their reception says that they are available until 9 pm but nobody was there since 7 pm. Asked me if I’m ready to pay $500 if he calls someone at night to fix it. Unacceptable customer service!

Just a place to stay before you catch your flight. They need new beds. With a little love and attention it could be a hidden gem.
