This review is a few yrs late. But it took me this long to get the courage to write it. The owners were hardworking Indian family. I loved the simplicity of it. It was clean and the breakfast was superb. The owner, always sat us in the most awkward and uncomfortable area for breakfast. It was 3 of us and she made us sit facing a white wall inside the kitchen. First day, I didn’t say anything since we didn’t have reservations. 2nd day i asked if we could get seated with others in the main dining room. She said no you don’t have reservations. The 3rd day the place was empty and i had reservations. She still tried to take us to that god awful place. I said i have reservations and there is no one here. She said it’s only 3 of u and these tables are for 4 people. The fourth day we entered the dining room and i see a family of 3 sitting in the main dinner room. I lost it. I said why are they sitting here when you specifically told me that my husband, son and I can’t sit in the main dining room? I cried for a week. You tell me what could have happened? We were guests at their motel. We have darker complexions than all the Europeans that were guests there. That’s the only thing i felt she found wrong with us. That was 7 years ago. I haven’t felt like a 2nd class human until then or ever since.
I like it's proximity to the river Thames and a nearby convenience store. But that also means that you'll have to take a couple of bus stops to Oxford centre. The room was so so. Sound proofing was excellent though it was just by a busy road. Toilet was rather mouldy and old. So that didn't feel great. On site service was ok. But email correspondence can be better. After the stay, I had emailed them for an invoice, which they did not respond at all despite multiple emails. Ended up with a long distance calling charge just to get an invoice.
Stayed here, first weekend after 2nd lockdown. Everything was exceptionally clean and safe. Beds were extremely comfortable and well laid out. We had a room at the front but couldn't hear the traffic. Great location for walking into Oxford but also ideal for catching the bus. Owners were very friendly and helpful and when we had a small issue it was resolved quickly.
What a wonderful B&B! Our hostess where worm and welcoming and we loved our stay with them. The full English breakfast was amazing and kept you going all day. It’s a little out of town which was actually good as otherwise we would have had to leave the care in public parking and catch the bus. The taxi fare was about £6, less than the parking. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this facility to anyone thinking of staying in the Oxford area. Thank you to our wonderful friendly hosts.
It's basic stuff and the decor is pretty tired to be honest, but it's done well and the breakfast was tasty and just the right size. The location is very convenient, being a comfortable walk from the city centre. Staff were friendly and engaged just enough to look after you, without overdoing it. Would stay here again.
Clean. Perfect location. Got a weekly bus ticket £14.00, buses every couple of minutes, less than 5mins to city centre. Quite dated, could do with an update. No shelf in the shower, difficult for washing, conditioning hair then body wash, had to keep opening and closing shower door!! Also, breakfast awful, if just spent a bit more on quality products, would be perfect, although reading comments, other guests enjoyed the breakfast. Hosts and staff are lovely.
A pleasant friendly place that does a nice breakfast. Clean & tidy very welcoming. We will be back.

Great location. Close to Oxford attractions and next to easy to use public bus transportation. A nice breakfast in the morning and friendly staff/owners. Also comfortable rooms.
