We experienced the most gorgeous and special 4 days. Our tour of Reims and Epernay has been incredible and I wouldn’t change a thing. Every detail was perfectly timed and all the staff and service was so heart warming with great attention to detail. Grape Escape we’re easy to communicate with, made adjustments to ensure our requests were met and created an unforgettable experience. There was very little we had to think of. I’d highly recommend them.
We just returned from a fantastic trip to the Champagne Region planned by Grape Escapes for our 50th wedding anniversary. Every aspect of the trip was marvelous from the driver picking us up at our Paris hotel, staying and being pampered at the Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa and our visits to the various champagne houses. Lunches and dinners with tastings were spectacular, especially the Prestige Dinner at Le Parc at Chateau Les Crayeres. Every service provided was excellent and we look forward to planning another Grape Escapes adventure!
Having planned a trip to Porto and the Douro Valley for a group of 30 nearly 3 years ago, we finally made it at our 4th attempt and are just back from what was a fabulous trip. It proved to have been well worth the wait! Our tour guides, coach drivers and hotel staff were all really helpful, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The hotels were in wonderful locations, the river trip was a delight, the tours and tastings were generous and informative, and the meals - particularly the picnic lunches - were delicious. This trip was obviously a long time in the planning and everyone at Grape Escapes was helpful, understanding and easy to work with as we went through the process of repeated postponements, group changes and all the uncertainty. What a great team and what a glorious trip they gave us! Highly recommended.
My husband and I just got home from our dream vacation in France with Grape Escapes. We particularly wanted to visit Sancerre and the Champagne region and the itinerary they built for us was nothing short of spectacular -- so many unique hotels, restaurants, and tours that we never would have found by ourselves. We were absolutely delighted. We are already planning our next trip with them to Italy later this year!
We had a brilliant tour of Burgundy wineries, thanks to Grape Escapes. They took care of everything - booking us a fabulous hotel in Beaune, a friendly and knowledgable driver for the day, and of course three fantastic tastings. Rachel was really helpful throughout and nothing seemed too much trouble. It was everything we'd hoped and a proper treat. Next time we'll be booking for longer!
This is our 2nd time booking with Grape Escape. As usual, the process was very easy and they were able to tailor the package to suit our budget and needs. One of the nicest touch of the whole experience was our chauffeur Thomas who also was very knowledgeable with both the history of Champagne as well as the wines there. Not surprising given that he has been working in the wine trade for a very long time. Would definitely book again with them in the future.
8 of us travelled to Champagne to experience the "24 in 24" tour. We had a fantastic time! We decided to drive over and spend an extra night in the hotel and this was arrange by GrapeEscapes. The hotel was lovely and ideally located; the choice of wineries was varied and gave the opportunity to try lots of different styles of champagne; dinner and lunch was both exquisite - lunch at Au36 was a definite highlight with the combination of 5 different champagnes and local cuisine proving a hit with the entire group.. We had one blip when we arrived at the first tasting house to find it closed, but a quick call to the help line number had the matter resolved within minutes. All in all a very memorable trip and we give full marks to the team!
This was our 2nd trip with Grape Escapes and this one was even better the the first which we thought wasn't possible. The booking process was seamless and the trip was expertly planned to give our a cross section of what Reims and Epernay has to offer. I would highly recommend Grape Escapes... and tasting champagne !
Great weekend spent in Burgundy, expertly organised by Grape Escapes. Program ran like clockwork, and Chateaux's visited were friendly and welcoming, offering a broad selection of their wines to taste. Accommodation, transport and lunches all excellent, hard to find any faults at all although wish the weather was a little kinder to us on the Saturday!.
What can we say : Just back from our wine tour of Bordeaux Right & Left Banks and Rioja with a lay over in San Sebastian in between. Special thanks to Rachel and the Grape escapes team for a truly special wine tour which we will cherish the memories for the rest of our days. With a few bottles of fine wine acquired from the special vineyards visited along the way to help with the memories ! Everything went to plan with superb locations, hotels, food and, of course, the vineyards and wine. And, most importantly, the people; the grape escapes team, the local tour and vineyard guides and also the staff at the hotels - were all so helpful. Thank you for the life experience which we will cherish. Kevin
