Many of you will remember me from my time at Downes Showcase Jewellers. I have started a new career as your local real estate agent at LJ Hooker Mosgiel.

Story

I am a true local boy, Mosgiel born and bred and have lived in Mosgiel all my life. Educated at Green Street Primary School and The Taieri High School, I then went on the complete an Engineering apprenticeship at NZ Railways.

In 1989, My wife Sandra and I purchased the local jewellery shop and operated Downes Showcase Jewellers for 26 years. A great deal of trust and a reputation for honesty was earned over these years dealing with local people and their precious items. During this time I was actively involved in the Mosgiel Business Association, President on numerous occasions and a board member of Gemtime N.Z. Ltd for 18 years.

I am a family and community orientated person; I was was a member of Mosgiel Round Table for 20 years helping to raise money for local groups and charities.I have always had a love of houses, building new, re-designing and renovating. It is now a natural step to combine my passions of the Mosgiel/Taieri area and houses into a career in Real Estate.

My natural skills of Honesty, Integrity and Confidentiality will ensure I will work hard to obtain the best possible results for my clients and I am excited at the privilege of joining the award winning team at L.J.Hooker Mosgiel.
