This wedding venue is amazing, the staff are very helpful since day one of our preparation, they listen to our needs and suggestions open mindedly. The foods are chef's kiss, we love it so much, our guests are from overseas but they love it! Big shoutout to Stevie, Nikki and Chloe, these angels are gems. Thank you so much!
Our daughter recently married at Gracehill - in the middle of a Covid outbreak, a cyclone - and no power. Unbelievable. The staff at Gracehill kept all of the stress away from us, and we had the happiest most wonderful wedding! William and his staff, the Chef and his food, the grounds, the dancing and the facilities were all exceptional. Totally recommend Gracehill as the happiest, and most loving venue. Thank you!!!
We absolutely adored having our special day at the Abel Estate. The grounds are breathtaking with newly renovated interior and exterior including the rotunda outside overlooking the lake. The package was all inclusive meaning almost everything was taken care of in one place and we only had to find a few vendors externally. The staff were really great and super helpful. Our wedding coordinator Stephanie was literally perfect and made everything super simple and easy for us on the day. The guests were really pleased with the delicious buffet spread and the unlimited drinks! Abel Estate goes above and beyond all expectations and is the perfect place to tie the knot! We loved every minute of our wedding
Got married there in February, it was everything we asked for. William was super helpful and promptly answered our email. The food was amazing and the staff we lovely and kind.
This review is long overdue. Ruth and her team at Abel Estate hosted our church family event in September this year. Until now some of us are still talking about the wonderful experience we had at Abel Estate. We do sincerely need to thank Ruth and her team for providing us with such a wonderful venue to have our event. Everyone enjoyed the high quality food and the friendly services provided by the team at Abel Estate. Thank you so much Ruth Carpenter and all your lovely staffs who helped us make our event a memorable one.
What a lovely place, managed by absolutely questionable people. In all, not worth the price paid as service was very bad for a small wedding party. Imagine if it was a bigger guest list. 1. Wedding host was not present for the rehearsal or the wedding - we were not informed beforehand that she was not feeling well and won't be able to attend despite communicating via text with her. 2. Handover to another staff, Virginia, was not smooth and there were a few important things she was unaware of 3. Virginia made comments about taking pictures with guests before they had drinks in them - this was an alcohol free halal menu wedding. First sign that she was unaware about wedding details. 5. Virginia was insistent on details like printing housekeeping notes for emcee and celebrant and bringing our own cake stand - both of which were not highlighted to us until 2 days before the wedding. 4. Virginia made us and our wedding party stand in the rain when we reached the location to inform us that we were too early an hour before guests are expected to arrive and that we would have to pay for the extra hour. - A professional would have brought us to a private sheltered area to speak with us. 5. She took an extra 20 minutes trying to come to a compromise without communicating that this was what she was actually doing and left us unsure of whether we should be there or move to a different location for our photoshoot. 5. Virginia was misinformed about when the bridal suite will be open - 3pm on our documents but she was insistent it was 345. We did not get to use the bridal suite as a result since our walk in was at 4pm and we had no idea where it was. 6. Virginia did not show us to our bridal suite and asked us to hide in the toilet or just stand around before our walk in "since most of our guests have seen us anyway" 7. Abel Estate has taken the money and not attempted to provide service recovery for the absolute mess they had caused.
Abel Estate, the former Gracehill, is a really beautiful place with a nice and private feel. The newly renovated ceremony and reception areas look absolutely stunning. They have a wonderful team of staff who are very helpful and professional and worked with us every step of the way to make the day run smoothly. I would highly recommend Abel Estate as a wedding venue.
As a guest at a wedding I attended at Abel Estate, I felt absolutely grateful for how Virginia took care of me and supported me. I have brain cancer and didn't think the ceremony was going to be in the full sun which I can't be in due to going though radiotherapy. My husband and I planned on sitting in the shade a while away from the ceremony so I would be fine but Virginia overheard us trying to problem solve. Instantly she came up with ideas and the one that seemed best was an umbrella but I didn't want to ruin the Bride and Groom's photos. Virginia assisted by letting me know where they were likely to take photos so I managed to time it correctly, and she made sure we could sit at the back so the umbrella wasn't blocking anyone's view. Virginia also checked on me throughout the time I was able to stay for and I was very grateful for this. At the time I was extremely thankful but the more I think about it makes me even more grateful and that I was accommodated with such compassion and empathy. I didn't realise I needed that at the time but the more I think about it I am extremely pleased that Virginia was there for me for my first event/time to finally see my extended family for the first time in months/some even years after diagnosis. I know this message is pretty much an essay but I needed to let you know how much impact Virginia had on me for such a nervous outing for me. I couldn't speak more highly of her. It is really unfortunate that the efforts of the rest of the staff at Abel estate has been grossly overshadowed by Virginia's service and demeanor
