The Gore District Youth Council
Gore District Council wants to hear what our young people in our community have to say. Representatives from schools and across the community are nominated and sworn in to make up the Gore District Youth Council.
They have formal meetings and workshops monthly. Young Councillors can expect to be called on for feedback regarding council business, asked to participate in or organise community events. There are opportunities to attend local, regional and national conferences pertaining to youth development.
There are both formal and fun opportunities and councillors are supported by council and community staff.
