A lovely spot for breakfast and brunch in Worcester. Good roots has a nice casual vibe that is perfect after a walk along the Riverside. It took a while for staff to come and take our order outside, but they were very busy. The staff were friendly and professional at all times. Once our order was placed our drinks and food came out swiftly and were excellent. The coffee is second to none. Chicken and waffles may not seem like a popular choice for us brits but I can assure you they were delightful. The waffles were light and fluffy and the chicken was succulent. My friend had the veggie brunch and it looked so damn good. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area.
Just dropped in for a pitstop with friends. We had a warm welcome and the cakes looked fantastic, well worth investigating next time. We sat outside but the interior is pretty cool with some great lights and comfy vibe. The flat white coffee I had was perfect and I'll definitely visit again to try some food.
The food is delicious but the service is quite slow. We ordered the breakfast butty and a beef chimichurri toastie. We were sat down and left waiting for a long period of time before anyone took our order. Our drinks came out 30 seconds before our meal, and grabbing the waiter/ waitress attention was near to impossible. If you are in a hurry I would not suggest this place but if you’re in retirement and have nowhere to be then this is the spot.
Absolutely love Good Roots. Cannot beat the friendly service, great atmosphere and fantastic variation of the menu. They prepare the food with love and the dishes work very well! Whether you go for meat or veg, the dishes and sides complement each other really well. Always a good brunch experience! Vegetarian options: I am a convert to the ‘very veg brunch’ - it is extra special! Kid-friendliness: Always plenty of kids enjoying brekkie Dietary restrictions: Cater for vegetarians and vegans as well as gluten intolerant
So came today for the second time to good roots and have to say the service is pretty poor, really lets the place down. The food is quality, one of the best breakfasts in worcester as per the photo but the wait time to be served is terriable. We had drank our drinks before the food had come out. We did get an apology but maybe if they had topped our drinks up as a sorry would have helped. The area outside has alot of rubbish on the floor too. We were told someone would come and wipe our table twice but no one ever did. Waylands let you order / pay from the table via a qr code which i think would really help good roots if they implemented the same system, could have ordered much faster rather then calling someone over several times. If the service was sorted out, it would be 5 stars.
Just very average. The name implies whole foods/vegan but it's just a cafe with options for some wholesome choices. Nice interior but sadly inflexible with the menu... my friend wanted the truffle n cheese fries but doesn't like smoked cheese - apparently they couldn't changed smoked cheese topping to another cheese. Was quite costly for very small portions and my smashed avo was lacking seasoning. I'm underwhelmed but liked the setting and some of the menu ideas. Be warned! Food is expensive plus you pay to park outside.....just OK but won't be rushing back.
Blink and you'll miss it in the back streets of Worcester but what an incredible place. Deceivingly big inside. A modern urban look. The food was amazing with some quirky combinations and friendly polite staff. Well worth a visit.
Unfortunately we had to ask for sides that had been ordered to be brought to the table and then cutlery. I had the brunch. I couldn’t cut my toast with the knife provided and half of the meal was cold an see covered in pepper. I don’t think I am likely to return unfortunately as it looked amazing
Had the good brunch to take out. Was beautiful, not entirely convinced I had the gluten free toast as it was so nice.Food: 5/5
Out of this world! Hands down the best cooked breakfast I have ever had, everything was perfect. The coffee is also wonderful and I love the huskee cups and the sustainable credentials. The staff are great, the service is the right amount of attentive without being overbearing. I just cant get enough of this place. If you havent been, you are missing out, big time!
