During the recent September school holidays I travelled from Hamilton to Thames with my nephew and we spent the afternoon at the Goldfields Shopping Centre.nnSituated outside the shopping centre was a carpark were other shops even Pak n Save supermarket all within walking distance.nnIt was my first time at Goldfields and I was delighted to see it was very child friendly.nnWe enjoyed shopping at the Warehouse .. we bought a charger for his tablet at the mobile phone centre iand we enjoyed the $2 shop looking at all the great item's in store for leisure and school.nIt was a pleasurable experience browsing inside Lichfield's store and my nephew bought a childrens Art Set on special. There were plenty of interesting art paraphernalia in store for art enthusiasts.nnThere were tables and chairs placed in the centre of the Mall, plenty of room just sitting down for lunch or a shopping break.nnMy nephew had lunch at McDonald's and nextdoor to McDonald's I ordered a Chinese takeaway which was reasonably priced.nnIt was great for children's amusement because in the corner of the Mall were miniature toys and games whereby the kid's could sit and interact by themselves.. they also had a merry-go-round and carnival games costing $2 a ride.nnMy nephew enjoyed himself and had lots of fun and it was great to see the place was buzzing with people from all walks of life.nnThe public toilet's were clean and tidy.nnWe spent two hours there, it exceeded my expectations and it was a pleasurable experience.
there's probably less than 10 shops, mostly just a warehouse and pak n save but it's better vibes than most city malls. recommend boots n all, unique gifts and niche items like watch/zippo parts
Thames main shopping centre with Warehouse, Pak n Save, Bed bath and beyond, cafe etc. some spaces are vacancies. Hope to have more businesses open up.
The perfect shopping centre for a small coastal town. The Countdown supermarket is the anchor store and shoppers come from large distances to shop here. The car park is future proofed and very large to cater for tourist camper vans.
Went to specsavers and Pak n save here. Easy parking and good shopping
