Goldfields Horse Treks take you on a unique adventure: Experience the beautiful landscape and rich history of Central Otago on the back of a horse!

We take you for an unforgettable ride through the incredible scenery of the Kawarau Gorge. Enjoy spectacular views over the Kawarau River and Central Otago vinyards.
Step back in time as you ride through the workings of a historic goldfield passing Chinatown, mining tunnels and original machinery of the gold rush era and discover the great history of the area.

Riding in a small group we always ensure a personalised trek where your guide will take great care of you and match the pace to your individual experience and confidence level.
