I have always loved this place since the first time I went there for the Harvest Festival. It's truly lovely and many people from our community go there!
This place is a very quaint garden. It is set up close to Takaka, right on the main road. A delight to go and browse. We loved the Honey Room, and the very pleasant young man who took his time to explain the different types and benefits of the various kinds of honey.
A vibrant place in the heart of Takaka. Fantastic place to purchase or grow your own vegies or meet with different groups from within the Takaka community.
I have done an excellent composting workshop at the community gardens and vastly enjoy going on weed walks with John Massey there , years ago I learnt about seed saving at the gardens and have savoured opportunities to do gardening there .
We're really excited to have the Golden Bay Sustainable Living Centre in our community and enjoy being involved with their projects.
